One People under GOD

It is an incredible honor to  reflect on the journey of our beloved church as we celebrate the 10th-year anniversary of our beloved church. On behalf of the leadership of this great ministry, we welcome you to join us in commemorating a decade of God’s unwavering faithfulness, love, and grace. 

The story of GNI is one of humble beginnings, divine direction and unwavering faith. Ten years ago, this church was but a seed, planted in the heart of God’s servant, Minister James Kure. God placed a burden in his heart to create a place where His people would gather in worship, His word would be proclaimed without compromise and His name would be glorified. What we see today, the ministry, the vibrant congregation, the transformed lives, started with nothing but a vision and prayer. The first services were held in simple setting, small intimate gatherings where the spirit of God moved mightily.

Today, as we stand on the foundation laid by God’s servant, Minister James Kure, we recognize that we are part of God’s grand design. The GENSIS of GNI was not just the beginning of a congregation, it is the beginning of a divine assignment to bring hope, healing and the message of Christ to a world in need. Just as the vision statement say – “Making known the Word of God through gifts and talents, from the manifestation of light to the transformation of the world.”

In those early days, there were no guarantee of success, no resources to fall back on and certainly, no certainty of what lies ahead. But God has been with us, He provided the strength, the wisdom and the people who serve as an encouragement. We did not have the comfort we enjoy today, but we had something far greater: The presence of God in our midst therefore as we celebrate this momentous occasion, let’s not forget that this is only the beginning, THE GENESIS. God is not finished with us yet. The same God who brought us through the past Ten years is calling us to new heights, to greater faith and to a deeper commitment to His work. As we look back, let us also look forward with anticipation, knowing that God has greater things in store for us.

In closing, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have been a part of this journey. To our founding members who had the courage to step out in faith to our pastor who have faithfully shepherd this flock and to every member who have contributed to the growth and success of this ministry, thank you. You are the legacy of GNI’s beginning and you are the pillars that would uphold its future. Above all, we give glory to God who is the author and finisher of our faith. It is by His grace alone that we are here today and it is by His grace that we will continue to move forward. May God bless this church as we enter the next chapter of our journey.

Together, let us build on the foundation of our genesis and contribute to see the kingdom come in our midst.
